Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the omnipresent Kardashian-Jenner tribe, has found her niche in the beauty industry. Inspired by her love of lipstick and quest for the perfect color to debut on her killer kisser, she launched her first three lips kits in November 2015. The kits were a hit and sold out within mere seconds.
Now, Kylie Cosmetics is “a full-service, direct-to-consumer beauty brand, with offerings that include its signature lip kits (lipstick and liner) plus eye shadows, blushes, and tools.” And she has no plans of stopping here; the makeup-mogul wants to expand her ky-empire into a full cosmetics line —“concealers, foundations, everything under the sun,” she says.
Ranked #57 on Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business 2017 for “inspiring lipstick lust,” she promotes her products using only social media marketing strategies. With 93 million followers on Instagram and upwards of 10 million people watching her Snapchat makeup tutorials, the Social Media Queen has “led the brand to a reported $400 million in revenue since its launch.” 19-year-old KJ is Kylling it.
