PayPal is aiming to give merchants using its payment services an easier solution for cross-border ecommerce with its Global Sellers program. PayPal Global Sellers is in partnership with international commerce provider WebInterpret, and offers merchants a comprehensive solution to localize, translate, and launch their respective online stores in over 60 countries. Merchants are able to take orders and receive payments from international consumers. In addition, when the service is integrated into shopping providers such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce,WebInterpret will automatically provide local shipping options at checkout, handling all the logistics of a local international delivery inclusive of any customs due.
What are costs for this service, you might ask? The great news is setup and integration are free, yes free! PayPal will continue to make its money on processing fees (the bet is by supporting merchants in tapping into new markets, sales will grow, which means an increase of sales processed), and WebInterpret will make its money from the shipping portion of the sale.
