“Bridging the worlds of scent and colour, Amkiri has created a product for the beauty industry which enables consumers the complete freedom of multisensory self-expression,” the company stated in a recent press release. The groundbreaking development of this technology meant creating a whole new category within the beauty industry, and consumer excitement is palpable.
WHO: With offices in both Tel Aviv and New York, the founders and wider Amkiri Ltd team—comprised of business, design, engineering, and chemistry experts—have worked extensively to scientifically and technologically develop a sophisticated, yet simple-to-use, high-end product which embodies cosmetics, body art, tattoos, and fragrance, all in one.
WHAT: Formulated to carry any fragrance and color, the patented creamy liquid ink is drawn on to the skin using Amkiri’s proprietarily developed beauty applicators, which include a Brush Wand, FreeHand Wand, stencils and stamps. The creamy ink formula stays on skin for up to 12 hours and is designed to adapt to the natural elasticity and movement of the user’s skin. This ensures that creative visual designs dry smoothly and remain long-lasting.
IN THEIR OWN WORDS: Founder Shoval Shavit shared that “As a designer, and a very visual and expressive person, I initially came up with the notion of Amkiri for my own personal needs. I have always loved fragrances, fashion and cosmetics, and kept trying to blend the three while experimenting constantly. I asked myself how I could create a fragrance that is visual? I wanted to blend makeup, tattoos and fragrances in one product. Fast-forward three years, and with fantastic co-founders, investors and team, we have made this dream come true, with a product which has been designed for all, that we can’t wait to share with everyone.”
DETAILS: Amkiri is due to make a selection of its products available in May 2018 with a wider launch later in the year.
