Amazon set its sights on the $445 billion beauty market and has been executing aggressive strategy in this sector. In Q3 of 2017, Amazon became the largest online beauty retailer according to analysis company 1010data, with business growing by 42% and capturing 21% of the online beauty market in the United States. Regardless of your view of Amazon, one thing is certain—if you are a beauty brand owner, you need to have an Amazon strategy. You can join them or try and beat them, but ignoring them is not a wise option.
