Bogart Group is acquiring 18 new selective fragrance boutiques in Luxembourg belonging to the Milady Parfumerie chain.

WHO: Bogart Group specializes in the creation, manufacture, and commercialization of luxury fragrances and cosmetics. With a unique market positioning as a manufacturer-distributor, the Group markets its products in more than 90 countries. Bogart Group will have 380 stores with this adquisition in five countries (France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Israel) and 8 owned fragrance and cosmetics brands marketed in 90 countries worldwide.

Founded in 1983, Milady Parfumerie is one of the leading selective retailers in Luxembourg backed by a robust and profitable store chain.

WHY: This acquisition is fully in line with the Group’s virtuous strategy of expanding its store chain in order to drive growth, not only for the Boutiques business but also for the brand’s business through the sale of the Group’s own brands in the new stores.

DETAILS:

  • Belgian Distriplus (the holding company of drogmetics chains Di and Planet Perfume and subsidiary of the Groupe Jacques Bogart) is acquiring 18 new selective fragrance boutiques in Luxembourg belonging to the Milady Parfumerie chain.
  • The cost of the acquisition, which is moderate by Group standards, will be financed by a bank loan.
  • This transaction increases the number of stores to 21, expanding its Benelux operations and making them the leading selective retailer in Luxembourg.
  • Bogart Group acquired six fragrance boutiques belonging to the Pascal/Inverko chain in Belgium.
  • Almost exactly one year ago, Distriplus was acquired by the Groupe Jacques Bogart, which bought the company from investors Ackermans & van Haaren and the Nationale Portefeuillemaatschappij.
