Men’s personal care start-up Huron raised $1 million in seed funding from RXBAR founders Peter Rahal and Jared Smith, CXT Investments, and Lean Luxe founder M. Paul Munford.

WHO: Huron was founded by CEO Matt Mullenax to create approachable easy personal care for men that can compete with premium offerings. The range currently consists of body wash, face wash, and face lotion all under $15 and will be sold direct to consumer individually, as a kit or by subscription.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: Mullenax told Techcrunch Huron will be set apart with its “ability to create a brand with a tone of voice that resonates, with products that work, at a price point that makes sense for this guy.”
