The holiday season is starting earlier than ever this year because the general consensus is we could all use a little extra happiness this year – let’s face it 2020 has been a doozy. The luxury skincare brand RéVive has always had a unique and incredibly chic take on creating a holiday. Founder, Dr. Gregory Brown was doing collaborations before they became a “thing”.

An avid collector of contemporary art for his entire life, Dr. Brown has always supported a wide range of charitable and cultural initiatives, including arts in education and the cultivation of new and emerging artistic talent. In 2003 as a way to combine his love of art and to support artists the RéVive Skincare limited-edition holiday Artbox was born.

“I was inspired to do Artbox in a Dawinian sort of way… I have always considered RéVive to be art in its most abstract form. In my mind, that is creative, is art. Taking the notion of bioengineered molecules to heal burn wounds and extrapolating that to reverse aging skin is creative and to me art,” Dr. Gregory Bays Brown said. “In addition, I have always been attracted to the visual arts, primarily painting, but works on paper as well….so it seemed logical to combine the two. I love Artbox because it is a true reflection of RéVive and me… it sets us apart from the herd.”

Over the years the brand has partnered with 15 artists this year RéVive tapped Anya Kielar who said, “’ I’ve always been interested in the theatrics and power of display. I’m drawn to how you can use different means of Presentation to open up the discussion of aesthetics and beauty. I really appreciate that ReVive is collaborating with artists on these makeup boxes as a way to reflect the fact there is so much creative potential in how we present the image of ourselves to the world.”

The RéVive Artbox 2020 is a true celebration of art and beauty – New Face is an elegant mixed-material piece by figurative artist Anya Kielar. Playing with the human form and female identity, Kielar’s sculptural work is a striking reflection on self-reinvention. Designed to help people transform their skin, RéVive formulas pair naturally with Kielar’s work.

“I was inspired to create a new face because I was thinking about the connection between our faces and identity. Especially the way our faces become this picture or composition that can be manipulated with things like makeup or products to create a new sense of yourself. For me the piece represents a suspended moment in that pursuit of transformation, “ Kielar said.

The limited-edition gift set will be available in October at Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Harrods, and the brands’ website.
