First-time founder/CEO Max Dresse closed the seed round of $2MM, led by Five Four Ventures, for super fiber supplement brand Bellway. The business also launched a new product for the beauty category.

WHO: Bellway founder Max Dresse has innovated brands such as Hello Fresh, Freshly, and ALOHA, found a white space in the world of fiber, and has taken the junk out. Bellway’s new modern approach to fiber is sugar-free, organic, and made with real fruit, where the leading fiber brand created in the 1930s has chemicals and fillers.

WHY: The funding will be used to grow the brand’s efforts in making fiber supplements a staple for millennials and Gen Z consumers.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: “With 95% of Americans not getting enough fiber, we incubated Bellway because we believe healthy fiber supplements can greatly improve everyone’s diet and lifestyle,” said David Birnbaum, Managing Partner of Five Four Ventures. “The fiber supplement market is a multi-billion dollar opportunity, yet the products currently dominating it don’t speak to today’s consumers, who are concerned about ingredient quality and more and more live a mobile-first, digital life. With Bellway, we’re bringing a new approach to the transformative power of fiber supplements to the market.”
