Treatwell Merges with Saas Booking Platform Uala

Treatwell, a European leader in online booking of beauty and wellness services, and Uala, a site and app active in Southern Europe dedicated to the beauty world, are joining forces under the Treatwell name.

WHO: Uala was founded in Italy and has become the leader in 13 Southern European countries. A successful M&A strategy brought Bucmi in Spain and Portugal, Funkmartini in Greece, and Balinea in France under their umbrella. Uala employs more than 750 people and manages around 100 million appointments each year, providing management software to more than 45,000 partner salons.

Treatwell is Europe's leading marketplace and SaaS dedicated to the beauty and wellness world. The platform allows users to book their beauty appointments in just a few clicks and at any time, and hairdressers, beauticians, and personal care professionals can manage salon activity thanks to a digital agenda and cloud-based management software.

WHY: This merger strengthens Treatwell's business in southern Europe, solidifying its position as the leader for bookings in the beauty and wellness sector and the digitized management of salons.

  • The group will operate under the Treatwell name, and salons using Uala's SaaS are now present on Treatwell's marketplace.
  • Over the past year, Treatwell has developed integrations for other SaaS management software for their partner salons to have visibility in the Treatwell marketplace. 
  • In 2022, Treatwell acquired Salonized in the Netherlands and Wavy in France.
  • Treatwell has raised a total of $80.3 million over the last 10 years.
