Sarah Colton is an independent American fragrance journalist, author, and videographer based in
Paris with more than 20 years of experience writing about fragrance and the beauty industry.
Her book, Bad Girls Perfume Tips and Tales (Water Tower Books 2016) a humorous and serious
history of perfumery from the point of view of Bad Girls across the ages, won the prestigious
Perfumed Plume Award for literary excellence in 2017.
Most recently, Sarah published a second book, Bad Girls Perfume NOTES (August, 2022) a
pocket-sized perfume smelling notebook which in addition to pages for recording smelling notes
and impressions, includes a Mini Lexicon of basic perfume terms and definitions.
