2021 Week 32: Beauty Brand Product Launches and Relaunches

This week provides an early look at what fall will have in store from an exciting relaunch of indie favorite Plant Apothecary to a clever take on beauty tools from Nudestix.

Plant Apothecary: The company was Rare Beauty Brands' inaugural acquisition joining Patchology in its brand portfolio. The skincare-focused relaunch blends the best of plant apothecary with a positive plant forward mission that combines the wisdom of science with the genius of nature for results-driven, clinically proven formulas. The re-launch also includes the following certifications: Climate Neutral, 1% for the Planet, Peta Global Animal Test–Free and Vegan Forestry Stewardship Council

The refreshed lineup is comprised of five skincare products with body care coming at the holidays. Detox Market has the launch exclusive with a specialty retail rollout planned for the fall with international distribution to follow. The range is priced at $28 - $80.

Collaboration:

Nudestick x Beauty Magnet: The first-of-its-kind 5-in-1 professional skincare tool designed to simplify and enhance beauty routines is a collaboration with aesthetician Liz Kennedy. The simple design features a convenient magnetic base that keeps the skincare tools organized and portable. The Beauty Magnet includes: DermaRoller, Rose Quartz Face Roller, De-Puffing Eye Roller, Comedone Extractor, Precision Tweezer and priced at $85.

Category Launches:

YSL Beauty: A new hybrid range where unapologetic beauty meets YSL Beauty's unrivaled expertise. NU is not quite makeup, but more than skincare that evens and enhances complexions. Created with GenZ for GenZ - clean and sustainable formulas are consciously packaged with recycled material with vegetal ink printing and no plastic sleeve. The five SKU range is priced at $34-$38.

Hanahana Beauty: A recipient of the Glossier Grant Initiative and member of Tower28's Clean Beauty Summer School 2020 the brand known for its shea butter-based body products expands into skincare. The first product is Skin Nutrition, a powder mask meant to reduce skin congestion which will be supported by a series of retail pop-ups in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago from August through October.

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare: Retinol for all stages of life without the irritation is the promise from the expansion of the Advanced Retinol + Ferulic franchise, which consists of four new and improved SKUs. The formulas are powered by a patented Phyto-Retinol Blend to gently clear complexion, smooth wrinkles and even tone & texture. Available at Sephora priced from $68-$85.

Product Launches

Peter Thomas Roth: The latest acne launch Goodbye Acne Complete Acne Treatment Gel is a potent formula for complete results. Formulated with 2% Salicylic Acid to clear active acne blemishes and help prevent future breakouts. It also contains 1% Time Released Micro-encapsulated Retinol, Vitamin C and Pantothenic Acid to help treat the appearance of post-acne marks and help to reduce the look of uneven tone and texture. Available at Sephora for $42.

Peach & Lily: Known for its highly effective and gentle formulas, the brand is extending that expertise below the neck with its first body product launch. KP Bump Boss Microderm Body Scrub is a super smoothing Korean bath scrub experience in a formula powered by 10% AHA + PHA and micro-crystals paired with traditional Korean spa ingredients. Available at Ulta priced at $28.

Vaycay Beauty: The minimal waste haircare brand is known for shampoo and conditioner bars handcrafted in the US from natural and organic ingredients. The latest additions to the range are Goa with Gooseberry and Fiji with Frangipani. The Fiji SKU will be available in JCPenney and select stores within the ThirteenLune partnership in September.

R&Co: A duo of detoxing and purifying products join the brand's lineup. Bio Dome Hair Purifier ($36) is a concentrated shampoo that provides a deep detox and scalp exfoliation, while Anti-Pollutant Spray ($24) is an elegant mist that refreshes and purifies hair from pollutants.

Make: Following the re-launch theme the brand introduces refillable Super Cell Deep Moisture Cream ($38) and Acid Phase Multi-AHA Exfoliation Solution ($24) both powered by lab engineered natural ingredients (L.E.N.I)

Rahua: As an extension to the brand's best-selling Hydration Collection, this Mask ($42) is an ultra-hydrating, deep conditioning moisture treatment which transforms thick, coarse and porous hair with a rich blend of Symbiotic Rahua Oil and shea butter.

FLO: Building on the success of Flo Vitamins the brand is launching its second SKU prebiotic GOGO Gummies. Vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and crafted with FLO's signature o-ring shape, these fiber-packed gummies include 3-5 grams of fiber per serving including Inulin Prebiotic Fiber derived from Chicory Root Fiber. Priced at $24.99 or $19.99 by subscription.

Launches At Mass:

EOS: The #eosmicrobatch Shark Side Lip Balm is a limited-edition "fin-tastic" Deep Blue Raspberry flavor that is fruity and sweet like shark gummy candies, with waves of juicy strawberry syrup and a bite of sour cherry. For every 10 Shark Side Lip Balms sold, EOS will symbolically adopt a Great White Shark through the World Wildlife Fund in support of their global conservation efforts. Priced at $4.99.

Lottie London: Serious length for as long as 12 hours Super Fake Mascara lifts, thickens and lengthens lashes creating a wide-awake look immediately upon application. Available at Walmart for $7.98. . Dr Teal's: Most well-known for its Epsom Salt Soaks, the brand released Moisturizing Hand Soap formulated to soften, cleanse, and exfoliate hands all in one use. The combination includes aloe vera, shea butter, epsom salt, and essential oils. Available in five scents: Rose & Milk, Lavender, Eucalyptus & Spearmint, Coconut Oil and Citrus at Walmart for $4.99.
