Moodeaux: Brianna Arps, former Refinery29 editor-turned-marketing expert, began mixing scents and quickly realized there wasn't enough conversation surrounding the ingredients and what's good or bad for the skin. Her passion led to the birth of Moodeaux and Black In Fragrance. As a BIPOC founder, she is on a mission to bring diversity into the fragrance category with a clean fragrance brand focused on self-care. The first launch is a SuperCharged SkinScent that is a warm addictive mix of citrus-floral-woodsy accords called Worthy.
Caliray: Wende Zomnir, who co-founded Urban Decay in 1995 and still serves as the brand's Chief Creative Officer, has gone back to her start-up roots with the launch of a new SoCal-inspired sustainable cosmetic brand. The new makeup business is launching with two cruelty-free products, Come Hell or High Water Mascara ($24) and the Surfproof Easy Glider Eye Definer Waterproof Pencil ($20), that are formulated within the brand's own clean standards.
Hummingway: Founded by actress Ashley Greene Khoury and her sister-in-law Olivia Khoury, Hummingway offers a collection of innovative natural solutions and an educational platform to demystify the conversation surrounding our reproductive systems, hormones, and our whole cycle.
