Acqua di Parma

For standalone beauty brands, advent calendars present a great marketing opportunity, presenting customers with the opportunity to try a company’s entire assortment without the monetary commitment of purchasing full-sized products.

“Every year, the demand for beauty advent calendars gets stronger, which is evident by the increase in searches. Beauty advent calendars are a great way to promote products to people, and brands actually see a huge uplift in sales for the normal-sized products after the Christmas period ends. It’ll be interesting to see how much searches increase for products included in the advent calendars in January!” exclaims Resh Vadgama, Beauty Marketing Expert at digital beauty marketing agency, Foundation. According to Beauty Daily by Clarins, advent calendar Google searches have grown by 103% since 2015, with 50,360 monthly searches in the UK alone.

Acqua di Parma

An entirely handmade product, Acqua di Parma’s advent calendar contains scents galore, with a host of eau de parfums and eau de colognes, from the signature Quercus to the newest release Zafferano, as well as scented body products and two candles. The $600 product is entirely handmade and comes in the brand’s trademark canary yellow. “It’s not just a matter of creating, but infusing each piece with a spirit, a narrative, and a soul, which elevates the concept of gifting, encouraging the idea of giving masterful pieces of artistry to loved ones,” the brand states.

Armani Beauty

Presented in chic Armani red with gold accents, this set contains 12 full-sized and 12 mini-sized products, including Lip Maestro Liquid Lipstick, Eyes To Kill Classico Mascara, Crema Nera Eye Cream, and Si Passione Eau de Parfum. The kit retails for $310 and has a $435 value.

The skincare brand has released a 12 Days of Beauty X Zodiac Advent Calendar, retailing for £99 ($119) with a £877 ($1,060) value. Products include full sizes of Hand Nail & Cuticle Anti-Ageing Cream, Serene Scalp Recovery Exfoliating Treatment, and Protein-Complex Restructuring Niacinamide Defence Serum. The calendar coordinates each of the products with one of the zodiac signs, which are illustrated on the back, alongside a QR code that customers can scan for hidden prizes.

Beekman 1802

The A Slice of Kindness Advent Calendar ($175, $320 value) reimagines the format as a three-layered cake, topped with the brand mascot Goatie. Inside each tier is an array of 24 products for the face and body, including the Milk Shake Facial Toner Mist, Bloom Cream, and Vanilla Macaron Lip Balm.

The set retails for $210 and contains $279 worth of products.

Given the cult status of the brand’s candles, it’s only fitting that its advent calendar uses flames as its central motif, with text definitions of the word from the Encyclopédie des Lumières making their way in flame form across the box’s packaging. Twenty-five Scented Treasures contains the seasonal home fragrance releases Délice (Delight), Sapin (Pine Tree), and Coton (Cotton), as well as Orphéon Refillable Solid Perfume and Fleur de Peau Eau de Parfum.
