All Signs Indicate Clean Beauty Brand Boscia Is Shutting Down

Beauty Independent announced the exclusive news of clean beauty brand Boscia shutting down, but the company has yet to confirm the news to other outlets. That being said, all signs indicate Boscia, owned by Japanese beauty conglomerate Fancl Corp, is shutting down.WHO: Boscia, born out of Yokohama, Japan–based Fancl Group and launched in 2002 by founder Kenji Ikemori, received early traction with its clean, vegan, cruelty-free positioning and gentle formulations. The brand was a Sephora exclusive for a time, later expanding distribution to Ulta, Amazon, Walgreens, Costco, and more.WHY:  The company wrote in an Instagram post, “We want to express our sincere gratitude for your loyal support throughout the years. Thank you for being a part of our journey.” On its website, Boscia is taking 55% off everything through May 31 at 11:59 p.m. PST, and all sales are final. Inventory at retail partners is spotty, on sale, or no longer available.DETAILS:All signs indicate Boscia is shuttering its doors.
