Bath & Body Works joins Sephora, SpaceNK, and Boots at the Westfield London shopping center in White City, opening a 2,441-square-foot store at what has become a beauty shopping destination. The store sits directly opposite the beauty giant Sephora.

This marks the first freestanding store in London, with a second outpost to follow this fall in Westfield Stratford. The American beauty retailer opened its first UK store in 2022 in Bluewater, Kent, and has four other stores.

Kate Orwin, Leasing Director UK at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, said, "We've experienced a strong year so far in leasing at Westfield London, with increasing demand for upsizing and new store space as brands look to expand in strategic locations.

"This momentum builds upon the success of 2023, during which we welcomed over 80 new store openings across both Westfield centres. We anticipate further growth in the beauty and wellness sectors throughout this year, as we continue in our commitment to creating best-in-class destinations and customer experiences."

The retail chain was founded in 1990, operating over 1,700 stores in the United States, and has a presence in six continents with over 480 global franchised locations.

Bath & Body Works looks to international markets to fuel growth. CEO Gina Boswell named international growth one of the five key growth drivers on the company’s latest earnings call. “We will continue expansion efforts within international to provide healthy and margin accretive growth to our business,” Chief Financial Officer Eva Boratto said on that call.

International net sales were $340 million for the year, roughly flat year over year. The company’s net sales for the year were $7.4 billion, down nearly 2% year over year. Net income was $878 million, up nearly 10% compared to 2022.
