Boots launched its No7 Advanced Retinol 1.5% Complex Night Concentrate skincare products in its first-ever digital launch alongside a range of “brand new virtual services.”
“We’ve approached this launch really differently and I am so proud of the teams who have remained determined, under such unique and unprecedented conditions to bring, yet another, game changer to our customers,” Walgreens Boots Alliance’s Chief Commercial Officer Annie Murphy said. “Working together with our colleagues at Boots UK and Walgreens we have focused on improving our website capacity and introduced a number of brand new virtual services to ensure our customers can still get the care and advice they expect from our amazing No7 Beauty Advisors.”
According to the company, Boots.com has seen a 140 percent jump in skincare product sales during the COVID-19 lockdown, despite in-store sales plummeting.
I’d say amassing a waiting list of 100,000 people in 10 days for early access to purchase the product on Boots.com makes this launch a success.
Walgreens will launch the skincare product in the USA in June, then in Thailand, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar in September.
