Cheryl Hines, actress and wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., bowed out of the celebrity beauty game, closing Hines+Young, and has started liquidating inventory on the brand's website. RFK Jr. assured in his financial disclosure report during his nomination for U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that Hines would stop selling beauty products once he had joined the department. WHO: Founded in 2023 by Cheryl Hines and her daughter Catherine Young, Hines+Young sold eco-friendly, sustainable products committed to clean beauty principles. The product assortment ranged from skincare to luxury candles, including a soy wax candle called “MAHA” referencing Kennedy’s “Make America Healthy Again” movement.WHY: The closure comes within the 90-day window RFK Jr. promised in his financial disclosure if he were to be appointed as the head of the Department of Health and Human Services.IN THEIR OWN WORDS: "My spouse has agreed that Hines & Young LLC will stop sales of the company's cosmetic inventory no later than 90 days from the date of my appointment," RFK Jr. said in his financial disclosure report in January, according to NBC.DETAILS:Hines+Young is closing down its operations following Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‘s appointment as the head of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on February 13.Cheryl Hines, who became known as Cheryl David on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm, has been married to Kennedy since 2014.
