Clinical Skin acquired Glytone, known for its innovative dermatological solutions, from Pierre Fabre Laboratories.

WHO: Glytone was founded in1943 when two pharmacists began making topical dermatological skincare products using glycolic acid under the name Genesis Pharmaceuticals. Glytone was created as the physicians-only glycolic acid product line through the utilization of the highest free-acid levels available. In the portfolio of Pierre Fabre Laboratories for over 20 years, Glytone has built a reputation for delivering clinically proven skincare formulations designed to address various dermatological concerns, including aging, hyperpigmentation, and the treatment of acne.

Pierre Fabre Laboratoire is the second-largest dermocosmetics laboratory in the world, the second-largest private French pharmaceutical group, and the market leader in France for products sold over the counter in pharmacies. Its portfolio includes several medical franchises and international brands, including Pierre Fabre Oncology, Pierre Fabre Dermatology, Eau Thermale Avène, Klorane, Ducray, René Furterer, A-Derma, Naturactive, Ladrôme, and Pierre Fabre Oral Care. Pierre Fabre is 86% owned by the Pierre Fabre Foundation, a government-recognized public-interest foundation, and secondarily by its own employees through an international employee stock ownership plan.

Clinical Skin was founded by L’Oréal alum Ewelina Aiossa and entrepreneur Israel Zahler to revolutionize the skincare category by developing a professional-grade skincare portfolio that not only employs a clinical approach but delivers rejuvenating formulas that are innovative and emphasize performance and safety. The formulations are enhanced by A.C.E. Technology, a blend of synergistic antioxidants, four biomimetic ceramides, and an enzyme with antioxidant properties, creating products that meld pharmaceutical and cosmetic expertise with spa-like luxury.

WHY: With an unwavering commitment to science, innovation, and luxury, Clinical Skin is carving out an undeniable niche for itself within the cosmeceutical skincare industry. This strategic acquisition reiterates a continued commitment to enhancing its unrivaled product portfolio and expanding its presence in the skincare industry.
