CVC Capital Partners–backed Cooper Consumer Health has agreed to acquire French nutraceutical company Lashilé Beauty.

WHO: Marseille-based Lashilé Beauty was founded by Yoann Assouline, Johan Adida, and Fanny Adida in spring 2019. The nutri-cosmetic brand offers supplements in the form of "gummies," which are positioned as playful and simplifying supplement routines. The brand offers Good Hair, Good Sun, Good Skin, and Good Detox gummies. The brand sells online via its own e-commerce and pharmacy platforms.

Cooper Consumer Health is a leading European independent over-the-counter drug manufacturer and distributor.

WHY: Lashilé Beauty is a market leader in the fast-growing gummy dietary supplement category in France. The business fits well in the bolt-on strategy of Cooper, with a complementary product portfolio with attractive underlying growth, a scalable business model that can be rolled out internationally, and strong online and digital marketing know-how.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: Yvan Vindevogel, Chairman of Cooper, said, "We are tremendously excited about the future and in particular about our new partnership with Lashilé Beauty, a partnership which will be highly complementary to both businesses, helping us provide our customers with more ways to look after their health and wellbeing."
