As artificial intelligence (AI) continues reshaping beauty and wellness innovation, from accelerating fragrance formulation to enabling skin diagnostics and product personalization, biotech beauty company Debut is pushing the category further with its AI-discovered longevity ingredient complex.
Debut has partnered with Natura, the Brazilian multinational beauty company known for its use of Amazonian botanicals, to develop and commercialize longevity-focused beauty products expected to launch in 2027. The partnership combines Debut’s precision biotechnology and novel actives with Natura’s expertise in bioactives and nature-based ingredient sourcing to create products designed to target skin aging and support skin longevity.
“This collaboration represents a new frontier in beauty innovation where advanced science and nature work in synergy to deliver a new standard of clinically validated performance,” said Joshua Britton, PhD, founder and CEO of Debut, in a press release. “By combining genomics-enabled molecular design with Natura’s unique heritage in botanical actives from the Amazon, we are unlocking new possibilities for product innovation.”
Natura currently utilizes 46 socio-biodiversity bioactives, including ucuuba, known for its intense moisturizing properties, and tukumã, which is rich in hyaluronic acid. By pairing these ingredients with advanced biotechnology, Natura is strengthening its functional cosmetics portfolio.
Natura will now gain access to Debut’s proprietary AI platform that can computationally screen 96 billion molecular possibilities for their biological impact, which is a process that would traditionally take centuries but can now be completed in days. The technology allows Natura to combine its heritage in natural ingredients with accelerated genomics and biotechnology to understand and target the biological drivers of aging.
“This collaboration is a key part of our journey into longevity,” said Manuel Rios Krauss, Chief Research & Development and Innovation Officer at Natura, in a statement. “We are combining three powerful things: nature’s billions of years of wisdom, the traditional knowledge of our communities, and the latest in technology and AI. We are using modern science alongside our roots to deliver real, effective results for our customers.”
The partnership also marks Debut’s entry into the Latin American and Brazilian beauty markets, one of the industry’s fastest-growing regions.
More broadly, the collaboration highlights industry interest in AI-driven, biotech-powered longevity solutions. For companies rooted in nature-led innovation, this signals an evolution point where advanced science can enhance biodiversity-based product development.
