Indian Skincare Brand Foxtale Raises $18 Million Series B

Direct-to-consumer skincare brand Foxtale has raised nearly Rs 150 crore ($18 million) in the latest funding round led by Singapore-based Panthera Growth Partners.WHO: Foxtale was launched in 2021 by former investment banker Romita Mazumdar. The skincare brand has 18 SKUs addressing acne, aging, and hyperpigmentation and has established a customer base across over 100 Indian cities. Its primary clientele consists of women between the ages of 23 and 35 living in metropolitan Tier II and Tier III cities.WHY: The fresh capital will be deployed towards expanding the brand's digital footprint and introducing new product categories.IN THEIR OWN WORDS: Foxtale founder Romita Mazumdar said, "We've been incredibly fortunate to find investors who have taken pride in innovation in our products and encouraged our continued focus on profitability. Romita and her team have built an incredible business in a short time with a sharp focus on product and innovation,” said Shilpa Kulkarni, founder and Managing Partner of Panthera Growth Partners. Mazumdar highlighted the company's financial performance, stating to CNBC, "Between fiscal years 2023 and 2024, we achieved a tenfold increase in gross revenue, reaching approximately ₹175 crore. We anticipate a 200% revenue growth for the upcoming fiscal year, all while maintaining healthy profit margins.
