The French haircare brand and at-home appointment app Ma Coiffeuse Afro landed a new funding round led by L'Occitane Group's venture arm Obratori.
WHO: Ma Coiffeuse Afro was launched in 2016 by Rebecca Cathline and Emmanuel Derozin as an app to help Black and mixed-race women in France book stylists for at-home appointments, with content to learn about products suited to their needs. The business expanded into haircare with In Haircare, a range of products co-created with its community.
IN THEIR OWN WORDS: "Their 'out and in' method, their creativity and their inclusivity and fascinating model story positively resonates with Obratori, and we're excited to jot down the following web page of their journey with them," Obratori said of In Haircare on its LinkedIn web page.
