Losing your hair is hard. It chips away at your confidence and can bring a sense of shame and frustration of not being able to style your hair the way you once did.

I knew this struggle well. I was tired of embarrassing concealers I’d want to hide under the sink and styling products that simply didn’t work for my hair type. They were heavy, weighed my hair down, or used harsh ingredients that made thinning even worse. Hair loss was treated like a shameful secret instead of a shared experience.

I created BOLDIFY to change that. It’s the first brand built from the ground up specifically for styling thin hair. Products you can finally be proud to use. Developed with dermatologists and leading stylists, our formulas deliver instant, lightest in class volume that lasts all day while supporting long-term hair and scalp health.

Over 3 million customers have already transformed their hair and rediscovered their confidence. Because when you love what you see in the mirror, everything changes.

Insights: Mike Viskovich, Founder + CEO

Why now and why you?

For far too long, a massive part of the population has been completely overlooked by the styling industry. Over 40% of American adults struggle with thinning, fragile hair, yet they’ve been forced to use products that weren't designed for them; products that either weigh hair down or, worse, contribute to the very problem they're trying to solve. BOLDIFY exists to fix this. We're a brand built on nearly a decade of consumer trust and #1 bestsellers on Amazon, and we are pioneering a new category we call GrowStyle. This is the first "smarter" styling solution that delivers on the three things this consumer actually needs: lasting volume, active growth support, and an anti-hair fall defense.

The "Why Now" is simple: The causes of hair loss have evolved, but most products haven't. Today's consumer is educated, and they're dealing with new hair health triggers like stress, GLP-1 use, and scalp microbiome disruption. They demand formulas that are not only effective but also safe, which is why our new lines are dermatologist-formulated, vegan, and free from hormone disruptors and heavy silicones. After becoming one of TikTok's breakout viral brands, we're at a pivotal inflection point. We are channeling that explosive, authentic online momentum into a major national retail launch, landing nationwide in Target and Walmart in 2025, supported by a premium brand refresh from the visionary agency behind Gruns and Dr. Squatch. This is the moment BOLDIFY steps up to lead the market by finally giving this huge, underserved community the high-performance products they have always deserved.

What fuels your competitive advantage?

Our competitive advantage stems from three key pillars:

We're Creating a New Category: We're pioneering GrowStyle, the first solution to merge lasting volume, active growth support, and anti-hair fall defense. Competitors force consumers to choose between styling or treatment; we deliver all three.

We Serve an Overlooked Market: We are hyperfocused on the 40% of adults with thinning hair —a massive, underserved demographic in hair styling. Our "smarter" formulas are dermatologist-formulated, vegan, and free of hormone disruptors to meet their specific needs.

We Have Proven Viral Demand: We built our brand on #1 Amazon bestsellers and became a breakout TikTok viral brand. This gives us authentic, proven momentum on the back of our successful nationwide launch into Target and Walmart in 2025.

What’s your proudest accomplishment to date?

Entering brick-and-mortar has always been a dream of mine, and to finally make it into not one, but two of my dream retailers at the same time in 2025 was an incredible (and very stressful!) time for me that I will never forget.

"I want to see product development pace match the speed of scientific progress."
By Mike Viskovich, Founder + CEO, BOLDIFY

What is the one thing you wish someone had told you?

People are everything; one great hire can change your entire business for the better (or worse!), so spend an outsized amount of time thinking about how to put the right people in the right seats.

What would you tell your past self before starting this journey?

Follow your gut instinct as it's almost always right. There's a lot of noise out there, but the strongest signal comes from within.

What does success look like in the next 3-5 years?

In the next 3-5 years, success for BOLDIFY means cementing our position as the undisputed global leader for styling fine and thinning hair. Financially, we are driving toward $200 million in revenue with $40 million in EBITDA, but the true measure of success will be "owning" the thinning hair styling category in the hearts and minds of consumers worldwide. This means building on our retail momentum and Amazon dominance to become the automatic, trusted solution that consumers find first—whether through word of mouth, or search and social algorithms. We will have successfully served this overlooked market by solving their top unmet styling needs, establishing BOLDIFY as the clear authority and a new, dominant force in haircare.

What's one industry trend that is overhyped, and what's being overlooked?

AI sits at both extremes. It’s overhyped for its supposed ability to act autonomously, yet under-appreciated for what it already does brilliantly: accelerating research, sparking new ideas, and elevating creative output.

How do you think the industry needs to evolve?

We need to take bigger creative swings and push for more meaningful product differentiation. Science is evolving faster than ever, but product innovation still feels a step behind to me. I want to see product development pace match the speed of scientific progress.

If you could wave a magic wand, what one wish would you make for your business?
