I started P.Louise with no investors, no shortcuts, and no safety net. It was self-funded from day one, built with a makeup brush, a clear vision, and complete belief in myself. The brand has grown intentionally, allowing it to scale without compromise or losing its voice.
Today, P.Louise is the #1 brand on TikTok in the UK across any sector, and the #1 brand on the platform for both skincare and color cosmetics. This success is cultural, not accidental. We do not rely on traditional influencer or press-led strategies. We build connection, emotion, and excitement directly with our audience in real time.
P.Louise also holds the #1 and #2 spots for the highest-grossing TikTok LIVE streams across Europe, showing that we do not just create attention; we convert it through experience, trust, and storytelling.
At P.Louise, community means access. We give our audience the PR experience without borrowed influence, placing them at the center of the brand narrative. P.Louise sits at the intersection of beauty and experience, creating immersive moments and a recognizable world that makes beauty feel exciting and empowering.
Insights: Paige Williams, Founder + CEO
Why now and why you?
P.Louise is relevant right now because we understand culture, and we move at its speed. We are the #1 brand on TikTok in the UK across any sector, leading skincare and color cosmetics by creating real connection, not noise. We are self-funded, experience-led, and built directly with our community. We are about to announce a record-breaking retail deal that challenges boundaries on the UK High Street, alongside the opening of our biggest experiential retail concept in the UK to date. At the same time, we are preparing for global expansion across multiple international markets. P.Louise is not slowing down. We are scaling with intention.
What fuels your competitive advantage?
Our competitive advantage is fueled by how close we stay to our community. We build in real time, sharing the wins and the losses, and that transparency creates trust, speed, and relevance. We listen, we adapt, and we move with culture rather than behind it. We have also created a new standard of collectible cosmetics, elevating our hero lines through crave-led flavor stories that excite, spark emotion, and keep our audience coming back for more. At the same time, we are the only independent beauty brand investing at this scale, and we are into experiential retail, turning brand energy into real-world immersion. That combination of community closeness, product desirability, and bold long-term investment is what sets P.Louise apart and keeps us ahead.
What’s your proudest accomplishment to date?
Our proudest achievements go far beyond rankings or records, even though retaining the #1 spot on TikTok year after year is something we are genuinely proud of. What matters most is what the brand has made possible. Being able to retire my mum is one of my greatest achievements and a reminder of why this journey started. Equally important is our ability to reinvest back into our local community at greater scale every year, creating opportunities, experiences, and impact beyond beauty. Those wins mean more than any metric.
What is the one thing you wish someone had told you?
I wish someone had told me that backing yourself will feel lonely before it feels powerful. That there will be moments where no one understands your vision, and that does not mean you are wrong. You do not need permission, validation, or perfect timing to start. If you believe in it deeply enough and stay consistent, the confidence catches up. Trust your instinct earlier and do not shrink to make other people comfortable.
What would you tell your past self before starting this journey?
I would tell my past self to trust herself sooner and stop waiting for permission. Not everyone is meant to understand your vision, and that’s okay. The doubt, the setbacks, and the hard days are not signs to stop; they are part of the process. Stay consistent, stay kind to yourself, and keep going even when it feels uncomfortable. Everything you are working for will make sense later.
What does success look like in the next 3-5 years?
Success in 3-5 years looks like building a brand that has genuinely disrupted the beauty sector and changed how brands connect with their communities. It means P.Louise operating as a global business across multiple key markets while still feeling close, personal, and culturally relevant. Success is also about investing in and rewarding the team that built this journey with us, creating long-term opportunities, growth, and shared wins. It is proving that you can scale globally, stay independent in spirit, and bring people with you every step of the way.
What's one industry trend that is overhyped, and what's being overlooked?
Right now, the most hyped trends are short-form content, creator-led brands, and viral moments built for speed rather than longevity. There is a huge focus on algorithms, influencers, and quick wins, often at the expense of depth and brand experience.
What is being overlooked is experiential retail. Physical spaces that are immersive, emotional, and community-led are being underestimated, especially when connected properly to digital platforms. When done right, experiential retail is not a cost; it is a brand builder. It creates loyalty, storytelling, and cultural relevance in a way no ad spend can replicate.
How do you think the industry needs to evolve?
The industry needs to evolve from being gatekept and trend-led to being founder-first and community-led. Brands should not have to rely on traditional power structures, press, or legacy influence to succeed. Platforms like TikTok have shown what is possible when founders are given direct access to audiences, data, and tools that support real growth, not just visibility. The next evolution is about backing founders with education, infrastructure, and long-term platform support, while encouraging brands to build deeper experiences and real-world connection, not just digital noise.
If you could wave a magic wand, what one wish would you make for your business?
My one wish for the business is that every single person who encounters P.Louise leaves feeling something positive. Whether it’s online, in-store, or through a product, I want the experience to be memorable, uplifting, and empowering for everyone. If we can continue to create moments that people remember, talk about, and feel proud to be part of, then the business will always be successful.
