In September, The Good Glamm Group announced plans to acquire six brands in the beauty and personal care space before March 2022. They’ve made the first acquisition, snapping up the Indian digital and media platform ScoopWhoop.
WHO: Based in New Delhi, ScoopWhoop is a digital media platform that operates online content verticals covering lifestyle, current affairs, and news. The company, inspired by BuzzFeed, was co-founded by Sattvik Mishra, Rishi Pratim Mukherjee, Sriparna Tikekar, Saransh Singh, Suparn Pandey, and Debarshi Banerjee in 2013. The platform’s digital assets generate 1 billion monthly impressions and engage over 100 million users, of which more than 60% are men.
WHY: The Group is currently building and buying male grooming brands to leverage its content-to-commerce capabilities and the men's grooming market.
