Color cosmetics contract manufacturer Gotha Cosmetics has acquired Beauty Rain, a makeup assembly and packaging company.
WHO: Founded in 2005 by Stefanella Guerini and Letizia Severgnini and based in Chieve, Italy, Beauty Rain started as a small laboratory for manually packaging makeup palettes. The business has approximately 80 employees.
Located outside Milan and founded in 2005, Gotha is a leading Italian contract manufacturer in the color cosmetic space. The company has an established business in North America and EMEA regions driven by a strong commitment to performance in hybrid solutions that can easily bridge the gap between skincare and color cosmetics.
WHY: Following the acquisitions of iColor Group and Mia Cosmetics, this transaction builds on Gotha Cosmetics’ strategy of integrating production processes.
IN THEIR OWN WORDS: “This acquisition allows us to consolidate our technical and industrial know-how by in-sourcing some assembling activities, accelerating the process of integration and simplification of the supply chain. This is a further step in the company’s enlargement of its production processes started with the acquisition of Mia Cosmetics,” Gotha Cosmetics CEO Paolo Valsecchi said.
