The new Hair & Beauty Salon on the fifth floor of Harrods’ iconic Knightsbridge flagship marks the final phase of Harrods Knightsbridge beauty business transformation, led by Director of Beauty Annalise Fard, with the aim of becoming one of the world's largest beauty destinations. The trailblazing transformation of Harrods Beauty Halls in 2020 spans an impressive 90,000 sq. ft., with the Hair & Beauty Salon space creating a 16,985-sq.-ft. beauty and wellness experience.

Annalise Fard, Director of Beauty at Harrods, said, “The launch of our new Hair & Beauty Salon is yet another significant landmark in Harrods’ quest to bring our customers a world-class beauty proposition that delivers expert hair and beauty experiences. Harrods has invested in pushing the boundaries in what is expected from a beauty destination, as well as bringing the most innovative experiences and services from around the world to London. I am absolutely delighted to be creating this exciting new beauty offering for our Harrods community.”

Hair and beauty treatments have long been a part of the iconic store's DNA, with Harrods’ first “Hairdressing and Manicure Department” having opened in 1894. For the department's latest transformation, the new Hair & Beauty Salon has been completely redesigned by London-based Sparcstudio Design, and pays homage to the salon's 1982 design, featuring glossy peach marble, beautiful cream stone counters, and powder-pink walls with gold finishes.

Mia Collins, Head of Beauty at Harrods, said, “For the redesign of our newly reimagined Hair & Beauty Salon, we wanted to pay homage to the Salon's heritage and bring back the sophistication and iconic glamour. We took inspiration from our rich archives to create a space that's uniquely Harrods. Through the unique combination of the Salon's design, exceptional treatments, and curated product offering, we strive to offer our customers a real celebration of what beauty is all about.”

Backwash Room: Inspired by traditional Japanese head spa rituals, which the Harrods beauty team discovered in Tokyo, the salon’s Backwash Room offers guests a rejuvenating facial for the scalp. With soft, ambient lighting and calming music, guests are encouraged to lie back on YuMe fully extending backwash beds and relax and enjoy a soothing head massage, designed to boost circulation and promote healthy hair growth.

Conditioning Bar: The salon is dedicated to offering the latest conditioning and scalp treatments, including cocktails of Kérastase Fusio-Dose boosters tailored to each guest’s specific hair needs, as well as restructuring treatments, from “Hair Botox” to Philip Kingsley's cult-favorite Elasticizer.

Hairdressing Rotunda: The salon's dedicated hairstyling space features new stations that are spaced out in a curved central seating area, emulating the salon's original 1982 design and bringing to life a feeling of old-world glamour, while also offering privacy for guests and their stylists to chat away freely.

Hair Extension Library: Most salons require a full consultation to order extensions ahead of time; the Harrods Hair & Beauty Salon houses its very own Hair Extension Library with an array of colors, lengths, and styles on hand, which allows guests to get their desired look on the very same day.

Treatment Rooms: Spa treatments cover facials from EviDens de Beauté and QMS Medicosmetics, massages with Aromatherapy Associates and Guam seaweed scrubs and wraps.

Eye Zone: Offering everything from eyelash extensions to exclusive Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow treatments. Guests can also opt for The Mini Glow-up upgrade, which allows them to add treatments to their lash or brow services, from Dr. Dennis Gross LED light treatments to glow-giving Oxygen Flash Facials.

Nail Bar: Harrods teamed up with Townhouse for manicures, pedicures, seasonal nail art collections, as well as exclusive designs and treatments for Harrods. The space features private manicure and pedicure booths and a manicure bar for guests.

Curated Retail: Complementing the breadth of expert treatments, Harrods Hair & Beauty Salon also provides access to a carefully curated selection of must-have products from 43 powerhouse beauty brands with several Harrods exclusives.
