Chanel announced the elimination of 70 jobs in the US, representing approximately 2.5% of its workforce in the region.Sephora appointed Catherine Spindler as President of its Europe and Middle East operations. She succeeds Sylvie Moreau, who has held the role since September 2021. Spindler joins the retailer from Lacoste, where she has served as Deputy CEO since September 2022. Prior to that, she was Chief Brand Officer at the French fashion brand.Ulta Beauty’s Chief Marketing Officer, Michelle Crossan-Matos, is leaving the company. Crossan-Matos has served as CMO since January 2023. After 23 years Nathalie Gerschtein is leaving L’Oréal. She became President of its Consumer Products Division in 2019 and assumed duties for all of North America in 2022.Christina Fair will succeed Gerschtein as President of Consumer Products Division for the North America zone, effective immediately. Fair’s career at the company started in 2008 at Garnier. She most recently helmed the North American dermatological beauty division, which includes brands such as SkinCeuticals, SkinBetter Science, La Roche-Posay and CeraVe.Peter Jueptner, Group President, International, of the Estée Lauder Companies will exit his position on April 1 and leave the company June 30. Jueptner has served 16 years at the beauty conglomerate.
