Supermodel Kate Moss has thrown in the towel on her lifestyle brand Cosmoss, putting the business into voluntary liquidation and owing creditors nearly £3 million.WHO: Kate Moss's brand Cosmoss launched in 2022 with a splashy entrance at Harrods. The concept, inspired by Moss's fondness for mysticism and nature, was described as a range “for the soul and the senses.” She enlisted homeopath Victoria Young to consult on the products, which consisted of a cleanser, moisturizer, multiuse skin nectar and fragrance, plus two signature tea blends.WHY: After the initial launch, Moss quickly withdrew and went back to her private ways. Unfortunately, brands don't grow organically, driven solely by star power. Celebrity brands need active engagement to support and sustain growth. DETAILS:Cosmoss was put into voluntary liquidation, after the appointment of liquidators was filed on Companies House. The documents show the business is being wound up by insolvency specialists AABRS, with creditors owed nearly £3 million, about £5,000 in the bank, and £241,000 of product inventory.
