Ten years after acquiring Decléor from Shiseido as part of a $241.5 million deal and a year after announcing it would cease operations of the spa brand, L'Oréal is selling Decléor and Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc to Cospal.WHO: Decléor was founded in 1974 by two visionary women, one a beauty therapist and the other a renowned aromatherapist. With 20 research centers across 11 countries around the world and a dedicated Research and Innovation team of over 4,000 scientists and 6,400 digital talents, L’Oréal is focused on inventing the future of beauty and becoming a beauty tech powerhouse. French group Cospal is a family-owned and independent industrial group. It was founded by Matthieu Lesieur, who co-founded WeFix, a smartphone repair chain operating over 120 stores in France, which was sold to the Fnac-Darty group. Active in beauty and well-being, Cospal aims to hold a portfolio of brands by adopting a long-term development vision.
