May saw some big founder moves from iconic beauty brands, from Emily Weiss stepping down as CEO of Glossier, to TooFaced co-founders Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson leaving the brand after two decades.
Kyle (Gallary) Leahy, Glossier's Chief Commercial Officer, will step into the CEO role. Emily Weiss will step into the role of Executive Chairwoman, working closely with Kyle to steward Glossier into the future.
Too Faced co-founders Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson to depart the brand they founded 24 years ago to embark on new entrepreneurial projects and endeavors, effective June 30, 2022.
Estée Lauder announced Tara Simon will be promoted to the role of Global Brand President, Too Faced, effective July 1, 2022. Prior to joining Too Faced and ELC as Senior Vice President / General Manager, Too Faced in 2020, Simon built a career with Ulta Beauty, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President of Merchandising, Prestige Beauty.
The Estée Lauder Companies has named Karen Housman as Senior Vice President/General Manager Travel Retail Asia Pacific, effective 1 July. Housman joined the ELC Travel Retail team in 2017 and is currently a member of the Travel Retail Leadership Team and was most recently La Mer and Le Labo Senior Vice President / General Manager Travel Retail Worldwide.
The Beauty Health Company appointed Amy Juaristi as Head of Corporate Affairs. Amy will lead BeautyHealth's strategic communications efforts as the company continues to create and lead the beauty health category and grow its flagship HydraFacial presence around the world. Amy previously ran communications for Coty in the Americas.
Han Wen has been appointed Chief Digital & Marketing Officer for L'Oréal USA, effective immediately. Wen will serve as a member of L'Oréal USA's Management Committee. In this role, Wen will lead the digital transformation of the company at the enterprise level, in partnership with its divisions and brands. Wen brings her expertise from L'Oréal USA's Professional Products Division, where she has led the digital transformation of the business since 2017.
L'Oréal appointed Susannah Greenberg as Chief Information Officer for the Americas, filling the role held by Michael Kingston, who recently retired. Greenberg will serve as a member of L'Oréal USA's Management Committee and a member of the Global IT Management Committee. Prior to joining L'Oréal a decade ago, she led technology architecture, application development, and production support of credit trading at Citigroup.
Leslie Marino will assume the role of President of L'Oréal's Professional Products Division for the US. Marino will oversee the extensive portfolio of brands within the Division as well as the Commercial, Digital, Education, and Business Development activities. After 20 years in the L'Oréal USA Luxe division, Marino then assumed the role of General Manager of Kérastase, Shu Uemura Art of Hair, and essie, where she successfully accelerated the brands to a state of growth and, ultimately, took the helm of Redken and Pureology.
Nathalie Gerschtein has been appointed President of L’Oréal's Consumer Products Division for the North America Zone, an expansion of her previous leadership role. Gerschtein began her 20-year career with L'Oréal through the company's management trainee program. Two decades later, she has led a variety of businesses within the L'Oréal Group across Europe, Asia, and North America.
Milk Makeup appointed Nilofer Vahora as the new Chief Marketing Officer. Vahora comes from Shiseido, where she most recently worked as the Vice President of Global Marketing on the Tory Burch beauty license.

Beauty By Imagination (BBI) announced its Board of Directors has formally appointed Francesca Raminella as CEO, effective immediately. Gary Dailey, who previously served as co-CEO with Raminella, will assume a new role as Chief Strategy and Administrative Officer. Both executives will continue as members of BBI's Board of Directors.
Revolution Beauty Group has appointed Elizabeth Lake as its new Chief Financial Officer. Lake succeeds Andrew Clark. who is exiting the business at the end of July after three years. Lake has more than 25 years of finance and commercial experience, most recently as the CFO of AIM-listed Everyman Media Group since 2019.
Tara Desai joins Iris & Romeo as CEO. Desai joins from The Estée Lauder Companies, where she was the Executive Director of Online Strategy. Michelle Gough-Baril, founder of Iris & Romeo, will remain in creative and product development roles.
Rael is also expanding its executive leadership team, announcing industry veteran Lauren Consiglio as President, who was formerly a senior marketing executive at Unilever and L'Oréal. Consiglio brings over 20 years of CPG experience and will be responsible for strengthening Rael's unique positioning as a holistic wellness brand for women and growing its retail and DTC business in the US.
L'Oréal has appointed Emmanual Goulin as the new Chief Executive Officer of its Italian business replacing François-Xavier Fenart. The internal appointment will see Goulin promoted from his current role as Director General of the Italian business' luxury division. Goulin has been with L'Oréal for more than two decades, having joined the company in 2000 as Product Manager for Lancôme.
Johnson & Johnson has named Thibaut Mongon as CEO Designate and Paul Ruh as CFO Designate of the future, listed New Consumer Health Company. The leadership transition will take place upon completion of the planned separation, which was announced in November. Completion is slated for 2023, subject to legal requirements including an employee consultation. Mongon has served as EVP and Worldwide Chairman of Consumer Health at Johnson & Johnson since 2019 and is described as the “driving force” behind the unit's strong business momentum. Ruh joined Johnson & Johnson five years ago as CFO of the Consumer Health division.
IMCD Group, a leading distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients, announced the appointment of Nicolas Kaufmann as Americas President for IMCD effective 1 July 2022.
