I started Knesko Skin in 2012 after years as an esthetician and educator. My mission was to spread wellness through intentional skincare that reminds us to slow down, go within, and reconnect with ourselves. I created the mask I couldn’t find, blending clinical skincare with the energy work behind my facials: Reiki-charged formulas, gemstone-infused hydrogel masks, clean ingredients, and visible results. Those masks, powered by the GEMCLINICAL Technology I spent years developing, grew into a global luxury spa brand and became the foundation for Gold Repair Skincare and our G-P8X Gold-Peptide Technology. What began as a single mask evolved into a complete skincare ritual designed to nourish both skin and spirit.

Insights: Lejla Cas, Co-Founder

Why now and why you?

Some brands are built for a moment. Others are built over time. This launch represents 14 years of developing Knesko and more than two decades of hands-on experience treating skin, educating professionals, and formulating products. I always believed that skincare could deliver both visible results and a deeper sense of well-being. Today, as consumers increasingly seek products that support both skin health and self-care, the industry is embracing a philosophy that has guided my work from the start.

What fuels your competitive advantage?

Our competitive advantage is rooted in a unique combination of clinical expertise, wellness philosophy, and proprietary innovation. As a licensed esthetician and Reiki Master, I have spent decades treating clients and observing tens of thousands of skin consultations and treatments. Combined with 14 years developing GEMCLINICAL Technology and now G-P8X, that experience allows us to create products that deliver both visible results and meaningful rituals of self-care.

"Some brands are built for a moment. Others are built over time."

What’s your proudest accomplishment to date?

The growth of our spa partners, which I never take for granted. Today Knesko is in over 1,000 luxury spas worldwide, with names like The Ritz-Carlton, Waldorf Astoria, and Four Seasons, from Los Angeles to Dubai, and available directly to clients at home through our own site. Knowing our products help create those moments, in the finest spas and in homes around the world, is the most rewarding part of this work.

What is the one thing you wish someone had told you?

Honestly, I’m glad no one told me exactly what the journey would look like. The joy has been in discovering it as I went. Building Knesko has been one of the most rewarding and creative experiences of my life—full of unexpected opportunities, meaningful connections, and constant evolution. A beginner’s mind, curiosity, and belief in the vision carried us farther than I ever imagined

What would you tell your past self before starting this journey?

That it all works out. Make your clients the priority in every decision; when they are your North Star, everything else falls into place. There will be stress and uncertainty, so don’t be afraid to ask for help, and keep going.

What does success look like in the next 3-5 years?

Becoming part of more people's daily rituals, morning and evening, so beauty is something they slow down for. Beyond that, we want to dive deeper into wellness, expanding across Europe, the UK, and Australia, and growing in medical aesthetics, where our formulas are already being embraced for their efficacy in post-procedure skin recovery.

What's one industry trend that is overhyped, and what's being overlooked?

Overhyped: the belief that more actives and higher percentages mean better skin. Aggressive routines often stress the very barrier they claim to repair. Overlooked: ritual and how differently skin behaves with a calm nervous system. The real advancement is pairing clinical results with slowing down.

How do you think the industry needs to evolve?

For too long, the industry has forced a choice: clinical results or sensorial experience, serious or indulgent, never both. The next era belongs to brands that refuse that divide, delivering studied results alongside a ritual worth returning to. Wellness and efficacy were never meant to live in separate aisles.

If you could wave a magic wand, what one wish would you make for your business?

If I had a magic wand, I would grant every woman a few unhurried minutes a day and the certainty that they are hers to take. My wish is for ritual to replace routine: pressing on a mask, pressing play on one of our mask meditations, breathing, and knowing that slowing down is its own kind of care.
