Qatari entrepreneur Mohammed Rashid Al Matwi has established a perfume manufacturing factory in Qatar with the support of Qatar Development Bank.

WHO: Entrepreneur Mohammed Rashid Al Matwi, founder of Qatari Perfume Factory, will create niche products and sell “Made in Qatar” fragrances worldwide. Said to be the first of its kind in the country, the factory will incubate products while also offering its services to other perfume manufacturers, individuals, and companies. The company’s current portfolio of brands: Doha Skyline, Happy Touch, Hikayat Gharam, Al Bahaar, Al Dana, and Elegant among others.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: Al Matwi said, “The idea of establishing a perfume factory is new and first-of-its-kind in Qatar. This is an effort to create space for perfume manufacturers and perfume lovers. This will also provide a platform for startups who intend to launch their own brands and create a niche customer-base.”

He continued, “The main idea behind setting up this factory in Qatar is to achieve self-sufficiency, and also to promote local products and establish new brands in the market. This new facility provides a good opportunity to the entrepreneurs who are looking forward to make their own brands and pursue career in the perfume business.”
