Quadpack Industries, manufacturer, and provider of packaging solutions to the global beauty industry, acquired German decoration specialist Stefan Wicklein Kunststoffveredelung GmbH.

WHO: German-based Stefan Wicklein Kunststoffveredelung GmbH finishes products for the cosmetic, beverage, and automotive industries. The company is a market leader in plastics finishing and is a decoration specialist providing full hot-stamping technology.

Established in 2003 and headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, Quadpack provides packaging solutions for beauty brand owners and contract fillers. it has offices in Europe, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas and a strategic network of manufacturing partners.

WHY: The deal adds hot-foil stamping to Quadpack's existing decoration offer of lacquering and metalization. In addition to adding value to its decoration offer, the acquisition allows Quadpack to bring a previously outsourced service in-house.

• Quadpack has acquired Stefan Wicklein Kunststoffveredelung. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
• Wicklein will retain its name and continue to serve its customer base.
• Long term, Quadpack plans to increase ownership of decoration which, along with material transformation and assembly, accounts for approximately 20% of the final sales price of a pack.
