RescueMD Lands Investment from L Catterton

RescueMD, a plastic surgeon–formulated scar cream, has gained new investment from L Catterton.

WHO: RescueMD was founded by Ivy League-educated plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Suzman, MD FACS. Its hero DNA Repair Complex is a patented serum that claims to minimize the look of redness and inflammation associated with facial treatments and soften the appearance of sun damage and scars. The product comes in two sizes: 15ml priced at $88, and 120ml priced at $388.

  • After launching with funding from friends and family, RescueMD raised capital from L Catterton Growth Fund and Pine Mountain Ventures.
  • The brand, launching in Bloomingdale's next month, is sold on Amazon and distributed to aestheticians, spas, and hotels through Universal Companies.
