Toronto-based Everist lands a new investment round led by Sandbridge Capital with participation from existing pre-seed investors.WHO: Launched in 2021 by beauty industry veterans Jayme Jenkins and Jessica Stevenson, Everist is a beauty company driven by innovation and the mission to prove that eco products can be for everyone. Built with the goal of creating as little waste as possible, Everist waterless products are plant-based, single-use-plastic–free, vegan, cruelty-free, and are packaged in infinitely recyclable toothpaste-like aluminum tubes. Everist is a brand built for eco-optimists and welcomes everyone to embrace small changes that add up to big impact. The range consists of hybrid formulas of hair and bodycare that meet skincare.IN THEIR OWN WORDS: "We had exponential growth there in the last year and a half. We’re at this pivot point where we have a lot of opportunities ahead,” Stevenson told WWD. “Strategically moving forward, we know that shopping in real life and having the discovery moments is important. And we’re looking at that,” Jenkins said. “With the Sandbridge raise, getting ready for doing retail right, and with the right partner, is a huge part of that.”“Everist impresses with its best-in-class hair care meets skin care offering, which clearly explains why consumers are so excited about the stellar lineup of highly effective products,” said Ken Suslow, founder and Managing Partner of Sandbridge Capital. “The brand stands apart from the crowd in an importantly differentiated way at the intersection where doing well converges with doing good, as reliably happens with the most impactful modern brands.
