Scottish creator brand Vieve announced on LinkedIn that they’ve closed £9 million ($12 million) to support the next chapter of the brand.WHO: Scottish creator Jamie Genevieve worked at a Debenhams beauty counter in Glasgow when she started posting on Instagram and YouTube. The 29-year-old has amassed 1.4 million followers who swear by her easy-to-follow tutorials. In 2020, she founded her own vegan and cruelty-free makeup range called Vieve with the goal of bringing professional artistry to a global community of beauty lovers. The brand is sold in Harrods, SpaceNK, and Sephora UK.IN THEIR OWN WORDS: Vieve founder and CCO Jamie Genevieve said, “When I started Vieve, my goal was always to create a brand that puts people first. I wanted everyone who interacts with Vieve—through our products, content or in-store experiences—to feel confident, empowered and truly considered.”She continued, “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built over the past five years—a community made up of makeup lovers and professionals who really believe in what we’re doing. Piper have been supporting us from the sidelines for some time, and with such exciting plans ahead, I couldn’t be happier to have them joining us as partners as we step into this next chapter.”DETAILS:Vieve secured a £9 million ($12 million) investment round led by Piper, alongside the continued backing of Venrex, Pembroke VCT, and Active Partners.Julian Granville, Executive Chairman of Boden and former Chairman of Monica Vinader, will be joining the business as Chairman.Vieve sold a minority stake in 2022 for £5.
