Swiss inspection company SGS has acquired Thomas J. Stephens & Associates Inc., a clinical research organization for the cosmetics and personal care industry.
WHO: Founded in 1989 by Thomas J. Stephens, PhD, Stephens & Associates provides safety and efficacy testing and contract research services to pharmaceutical, device, cosmetic, and personal care product companies worldwide. Stephens has deep expertise in claim support, study design development, clinical grading, and bioinstrumentation and imaging technologies. Stephens has locations in Dallas, Texas, and Phoenix, Arizona, and partnerships with labs in Japan, South Korea, and India.
Headquartered in Switzerland, SGS is the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification company with more than 94,000 employees. The company operates a network of more than 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world.
