Gatineau's long-standing UK distributor, The Skincare Sanctuary, bought the anti-aging professional skincare brand for an undisclosed sum from Revlon.

WHO: Gatineau's story began in Paris 89 years ago with a visionary beauty therapist, Madame Jeanne Gatineau, who set out to provide revolutionary skincare solutions for women. She opened her first salon in 1932 and immediately began to develop her own skincare products to accompany her treatment techniques in collaboration with experienced dermatologists and biochemists. Today, the brand is renowned as a leading specialist in anti-aging skincare. Gatineau's powerful formulations combine natural ingredients with cutting-edge biotechnology to create an advanced range of professional-quality skincare that deliver immediate and long-lasting results. The business has a global retail presence, appearing in professional settings, brick-and-mortar, and leading e-tailers.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: "This acquisition will allow Gatineau to flourish, accelerating the development of new formulations and expanding our global distribution. It marks the start of a new and exciting era for the brand," said new Gatineau CEO Andrew Bagley.

He added: "I have worked with Gatineau for over 27 years and look forward to bringing the benefits of [the brand's] powerful formulations to a wider audience. We have had a long-standing relationship with Skin Sanctuary and believe they are the right partner for Gatineau's future."

A Revlon spokesperson said that The Skincare Sanctuary was the right partner for Gatineau's future. "We look forward to seeing the continued strength of this classic brand."
