The San Francisco-based chocolate supplement brand Sourse secured $2.4 million in a seed funding round, bringing the total investment raised to date to $4 million.

WHO: Sourse was founded by couple Jenne Moore and Andrew Remlinger in 2020. Jenne previously led digital marketing teams and Andrew comes from the world of finance. In 2021, Modern Family star Sarah Hyland joined the brand as a new co-founder and Creative Director. The brand claims to have invented the first vitamin-infused chocolate candy with clinically backed dosage guidelines and ingredients proven to revitalize how you look and feel. Sourse launched with two hero products: Glow Bites, infused with a plant-based collagen alternative for hydrated, plump skin; and Hype Bites, infused with vitamin B12 for energy, focus, and mood. The plant-based bites are available DTC at $34 for a month’s supply, or $30 when you sign up for a monthly subscription. Sourse’s phytoceramide-infused Skin Glow Bites and the new Sephora exclusive, biotin-infused Hair Grow Bites, are priced at $15.

WHY: The investment will support the rollout with Sephora, clinical research, product development, and critical hires.
