Target announces its 2021 Takeoff Beauty Cohort. The retailer’s product-focused accelerator program was designed to help emerging brands deepen their retail knowledge through Target mentorship and personalized curriculum for consumer-packaged brands. This year’s program will be 100% virtual and will conclude after 5 weeks of mass retail curriculum as well as in-depth mentorship from Target leaders, industry experts, and alumni.

Meet the 2021 Takeoff Beauty Cohort:

APTO Skincare: Launched in 2015, these in-house formulated and manufactured skincare products are clean, simple, fun, and affordable.

Dear Brightly: This Y Combinator-backed company is on a mission to close the gap between dermatologists and everyday people.

Flewd: Taking on self-care with the first-ever transdermal anti-stress bath soaks to refuel our bodies with the nutrients we need to process away stress and its symptoms like anxiety, insomnia, and muscle aches.

Frederick Benjamin: This brand’s promise is to deliver grooming products that puts the confidence back into the hands of men.

Luna Magic: Beauty with a vibe created by two sisters and a mission to provide great-quality cosmetics at great prices.

M2Ü NYC: Inspired by NYC and a passion for makeup, this brand’s purpose is to provide high-quality, stylish, and affordable makeup.

Sassy Hair Cap: This beauty brand offers 2-in-1 satin hair bonnets that help hair enthusiasts maintain their hairstyles through the day, night, and even while in the shower.

Solara Suncare: They believe skin protection is wellness, so they treat it that way. They’re the first mineral-only sunscreen brand to blend adaptogens, botanicals, and science to power truly clean, supercharged, and eco-conscious skin protection for the skincare and wellness obsessed.

Undefined Beauty: This is a clean, conscious brand with a mission to democratize wellness, “undefine” what beauty looks like, and destigmatize plant-based solutions.

Yubi: A simplified beauty tool for busy women created as a shortcut for applying cosmetics more quickly at home or on the go.

Target Takeoff is in its fifth year and has had a successful track record of bringing emerging brands with differentiation in the marketplace into its dynamic beauty assortment. Notable program alumni include: Mented Cosmetics, Scotch Porter, and Golde.
