Unilever Snaps Up Viral Men's Soap Brand Dr. Squatch

Summit Partners, the private equity owner of Dr. Squatch, announced in 2024 that they were exploring a sale of the men's grooming brand and aiming for a valuation exceeding $2 billion. Dr. Squatch has now signed a definitive agreement with Unilever.WHO: Dr. Squatch was founded in 2013 by Jack Haldrup with handcrafted, cold-process bar soaps made in small batches and a mission to inspire and educate men to be happier and healthier with natural, high-performance products. The brand has since expanded its product line to include deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and cologne, all formulated with a focus on natural ingredients. The brand has a penchant for creating viral moments with a pipeline of limited editions. Dr. Squatch is distributed through digital commerce, retail, and direct-to-consumer channels, primarily in North America and Europe.Unilever was incorporated on June 21, 1894, and has become one of the world’s leading suppliers of Beauty & Wellbeing, Personal Care, Home Care, Foods, and Ice Cream products, with sales in over 190 countries and products used by 3.4 billion people every day.
