The Estée Lauder Companies continues rebuilding its ranks, making a key hire for its Makeup Brand Cluster, and SharkNinja fills out the C-suite for its beauty division. May also saw the trend of founders taking back the CEO role continue, with Annie Lawless Jacobs retaking the reins at the namesake makeup brand.The Estée Lauder Companies announced the appointment of Lisa Sequino as the new President, Makeup Brand Cluster, overseeing the company’s portfolio of makeup brands, including M·A·C, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, Smashbox, and Glamglow. Sequino will report to Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer. She returns to The Estée Lauder Companies with a distinctive blend of deep institutional knowledge and proven success as a CEO, having spent three years working at JLo Beauty and Supergoop. MAC Cosmetics appointed Nicola Formichetti as Global Creative Director. Renowned for his genre-defying work with global icons like Lady Gaga, his creative leadership at some of fashion’s most influential houses, and his trend-setting collaborations across industries, Nicola brings a bold, boundary-pushing energy to the brand. Formichetti succeeds Drew Elliott, who held the position from 2019 and left earlier this year.Delphine Viguier-Hovasse was appointed as L’Oréal’s first-ever Chief Innovation & Prospective Officer. Viguier-Hovasse will join the Group’s Executive Committee and report to Barbara Lavernos, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Research, Innovation & Technology. L'Oréal Paris names Laetitia Toupet-Delon Global Brand President, succeeding Delphine Viguier-Hovasse.
