In the gamified journey, players explore the emotional dimension of scent through narrative-based modules, learning how to articulate personal fragrance preferences without lifting a blotter strip. With digitally native consumers in mind, Guardians of Memories served as both an educational tool and a strategic entry point to engage Gen Z and Gen A on platforms they already frequently inhabit. “Reinventing the way we talk about perfumes and tastes is how we create more meaningful dialogue between brands and consumers,” said Givaudan CEO Gilles Andrier in a company press release. “Our presence at VivaTech reflects our commitment to that transformation.”Adding to the sensory spectacle of Givaudan’s booth was the Scent Piano, an interactive installation that allowed visitors to compose fragrances like musical notes.
