The cultural pioneers behind Highsnobiety have expanded their mission to connect people through a love of style, extending their reach into beauty. Founded in 2005 by CEO David Fischer, Highsnobiety is a global digital media and cultural consultancy headquartered in Berlin and sitting at the intersection of style, art, design, and technology.
Highsnobiety Beauty is a new digital vertical that explores subversive forms of self-expression and amplifies the community of emerging creators who are reshaping the industry. The platform will explore individualism through a deeply personal lens, pulling away from easily defined traditional views of beauty and highlighting leaders cultivating their unique sense of style through makeup artistry, haircare, skincare, nail care, fragrance, and beyond.
Willa Bennett, Editor-in-Chief, said, "Half a year into my time as Editor-in-Chief, I'm thrilled to launch Highsnobiety Beauty alongside the editorial team. As a style platform championing young people, beauty is a natural next step for us. I look forward to working alongside the team to champion those who are redefining the meaning of 'beauty.'"
Highsnobiety will foster disruptive voices within beauty in the same way it spotlights and connects those in the fashion and cultural spheres.
Coverage will range between conversations with established and emerging talent, exclusive looks at the products favored by industry leaders, and intelligence into the most notable product releases filtered through the Highsnobiety lens. Select stories from the digital platform will reemerge in print throughout Highsnobiety's quarterly issues.
The inaugural digital issue highlights Noen Eubanks, one of beauty's most pioneering names. The makeup and visual artist, internet personality, and model is known for blurring the line between physical and digital makeup with deeply intricate beauty looks and for his signature red eyeliner. In the digital issue, Noen dives into a personal and candid conversation on hair color, beauty, adulthood, and TikTok.
Elsewhere in the issue, Noen's interview is accompanied by stories including an exploration of crying as a beauty routine, favorite scents in the skate community, and the next best trends and brands in beauty.
The new platform will live digitally as a separate entity under the Highsnobiety umbrella and will eventually expand Highsnobiety's beauty e-commerce offering.
