Following the Shark Tank investment from Mark Cuban, pandemic beauty baby Youthforia closed a seed round of funding from True Beauty Ventures and Willow Growth Partners.

WHO: Youthforia was founded in April 2021 by software developer Fiona Co Chan as a hybrid makeup and skincare brand you could sleep in. The brand launched with its hero product BYO Blush, which went viral on TikTok. The combination of eco-friendly ingredients with innovative bio-based formulations guides product creation for the brand.

WHY: The fresh capital will support the brand's significant wholesale expansion especially with Ulta where the brand has almost doubled its footprint, building out team resources and investing in marketing to continue to drive its strong ecommerce, Amazon, and wholesale growth.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: Fiona Co Chan, founder and CEO of Youthforia, said, "I'm really excited for our Seed round. I decided to raise to help support our Ulta Beauty partnership so that we could hire a bigger team, expanding our product line and strengthen our supply chain. We've got a great group of investors in this round that have been so instrumental in helping accelerate our growth."

Cristina Nunez, co-founder and General Partner of True Beauty Venture, said, "Youthforia is a makeup-skincare hybrid that dares to do things differently driven by a creative and disruptive founder. We love Fiona’s desire to innovate with new, clean ingredients and form factors in a way that excites consumers while also delivering beautiful results. True Beauty had the pleasure of working with Fiona in our Bridge Mentorship Program prior to investing and immediately recognized her superpower to develop powerful connections with her audience directly and generate strong demand for her brand.”
